Humans have colonized themselves throughout a new solar system, long-since severed from their planet of origin eons ago, and what became of Earth has been lost to speculation and faerie tales. Four massive and powerful conglomerate governments now control the majority of Humanity, save a small group of confederate outposts situated on the outer fringes of the system. Most of Humanity's factual knowledge of Earth has been forgotten; however, an ancient relic from the past remains as a constant reminder of their timeworn legacy. A behemoth skeleton of a mechanical construct that looms derelict in space, known only as the Slipgate.

History, timeline, features and other details to appear here as progress continues.

The Bo Ruadh Collective (Collective)
The Collective has always been on the cutting edge of research and technology; they were the first, for example, to develop and successfully utilize biological enhancement implants, which is now commonplace amongst humans of all the governments. They have a healthy relationship with the Republic, who is always eager to snatch up newly developed weapons coming from the famous Collective labs. On the other hand, the Collective and the Union have never seen eye to eye, which is to be expected as science and religion have rarely melded with pleasant results.

The Social Commonwealth of Nemetona (Commonwealth)
The Commonwealth is a politically active and left-leaning government with a booming economy. They strive for peace in what they see as a dangerous solar system. Specifically, they condemn the Republic's strong military and call for it to be stripped down into a defense-oriented national guard. The Commonwealth is careful however to avoid confronting the Collective on issues of weapons trade, because the Commmonwealth is interested in the continued supply of the Collective's more peaceful technologies. The Commonwealth embraces the Union as being a peaceful nation, although the peaceful tendencies of the Union would be more accurately described as apathy.

The Confederate Colonies of Nwyvre (Confederacy)
The Confederacy is anarchy; a society of millions of spacefaring people who enjoy the freedom of not owing allegiance to any of the four superpower governments. The Confederacy is tied together only by a loose defensive agreement amongst the myriad of small outpost stations along the fringe of the solar system. In dangerous times, the agreement requires that the outposts raise militias to defend against invasion and other attacks to preserve their total independence. The Confederacy has no real ties with any of the four governments in the system, thus their technology is slightly outdated. However, piracy runs rampant without the threat of police intervention and the Confederacy is the place to go to procure all of your blackmarket needs.

The Republic of the Triduana Protectorate (Republic)
The Republic is a conservative military superpower. Their capital planet is the only naturally green planet in the entire system, and was the first planet to be colonized by Humans when the Slipgate was still active. Because of this, the Republic prides itself on being the oldest government; however this isn't necessarily the case as they are only the current government in power that is ruling over the first colonized planet. The Republic's navy knows no equal, and their strong ties with the Collective secures the most advanced technology for it. Ties with the Commonwealth is strained due to the fact that the Commonwealth actively criticizes the Republic's militaristic values.

The Democratic Union of Iubdan Ecclesiastics (Union)
The Union is a strongly isolationist government that is, for the lack of a better phrase, comprised of mostly religious zealots. The government is a democratic theocracy made up of a council of elected clergymen, and they view themselves as the appointed guardians of the Slipgate, which to them is a religious relic. The Union looks down upon the Collective and are largely neutral to the Republic. Their strongest bond is with the Commonwealth, if only for the fact that the Commonwealth is an idealistic government much like the Union.
