Ark has spent the past decade of his life performing intensive psychological research on his patients. He is a man of vision, although it is uncertain whether that vision is quite sane. He believes that by determining the levels of control one can induce upon another's mind, one can effectively discover the keys to unlocking brain processing functions. Using this knowledge, he hopes to open up areas of the human brain heretofore untapped.

He is obsessive about this goal, and finds it a satisfying side effect that his efforts in psychological control and manipulation give him power over his research subjects. In the past few years, he has begun experimenting with chemical compounds as well to accelerate his research and determine if there is any pharmaceutical advantage to be gained. The results have provided Ark with increased levels of control in his subjects, but some have begun exhibiting symptoms of heavy aggression. This is unacceptable.

Mockenrue has now left his research facility for a time, to compare his results with others that may be out there in similar lines of study. He hopes not only to find information that will aid in his pursuit of mental superhumanity, but also to beat any would-be rivals to the punch, gaining any advantage in speed and efficiency that he can find. He pilots the combat ship Infernus as a deterrent to those who may seek to stand in his way.
